Grade II Listed Farm Redevelopment Approved

Viable Placemaking are pleased to have supported with the redevelopment of a farm in the south east to provide housing.


The site comprised several buildings formally in agricultural uses, including a mix of historic barns and more modern structures used for the farm.


The land included two Grade II Listed Buildings and had several land constraints, including being located adjacent to a special protection area, area of flood risk, and site of special scientific interest.


As a town planning consultancy with a specialism in development viability and economics, Viable Placemaking are able to balance supporting viable developments which also meet local needs and respond to planning policy.


In this instance, we were able to support a development which was viable, made the best use of a heritage asset, and provided a contribution towards affordable housing.


We are thrilled to see that the planning application has been approved subject to a Section 106 agreement.
