Planning Applications
The planning system is all around us. You’ll often hear people say ‘I needed planning permission for that from the Council for my extension’ or ‘I can’t believe they allowed those new houses there!’ The planning system is complicated and there are many matters to consider depending on where and what the development is.
Initially, if you’d like to consider your development options, if you are uncertain about what type of planning application you need, or if you would like to understand the best strategy to proceed, you may wish to consider getting a Planning Appraisal as a first stage.
Our standard Planning Application service includes the overarching project management of the application through to the statutory determination deadline, at which point the Council should have determined the application. This includes the following project management services up to the statutory determination deadline:
-
Liaising with the project team, including the architect and any other consultants
-
Writing a Planning Statement
-
Preparing planning application forms and assisting and representing the applicants in resolving validation matters
-
Weekly checks of the Council’s website during the statutory consultation period
-
Liaise with instructed professionals to make amendments to the scheme following liaison with the Local Planning Authority
Alternatively, if you have or are acting as a Planning Agent for an application and only require a Planning Statement, we would be more than happy to assist.
We also offer an option to amalgamate the Planning Statement with a Design and Access Statement, which is often required for validation, as a ‘PDAS’. Do let us know if this is required.
If you require assistance with any other reports, such as a Viability Assessment, CIL documents, an Affordable Housing Statement or Transport Statement – do let us know and we will do our utmost to assist with your scheme’s requirements.
If you need any further advice regarding your planning application, please feel free to get in touch with a member of our team and we’d be more than happy to assist.
